SORAPOL SS'13 'Euphoria'

Fabulous Thai designer Sorapol Chawaphatnakul (it took me a long time to learn how to spell and pronounce his surname) held the launch of his third collection for SS'13 at an underground car-park in Soho on Friday, and I was invited. The reason I was invited? I helped organize the event.

A team of interns (of which I was one) along with Mr S himself and creative director Daniel Lismore all spent the last few months planning, organizing and stressing about the big event that was on Friday. And it went amazingly! From the panther-headed-motorbike entrance, to the finale of all the masked models doing the final walk, to the after party at Guy Pelly's new Sloane Square venue 'Tonteria,' the night was a huge success!

Here are a couple of photos that I took on the night:

I helped put this look together,, from the perspex dome and bra, to the
iridescent chain-mail skirt :)

Highlights from Vogue's Fashion Night Out - London, 2012

Vogue's Fashion Night out is one of the fashion industry's biggest nights of the year, with various cities worldwide celebrating creativity, individuality, style, luxury and a good stiff drink. Bond Street - Old and New - were full of finely dressed human beings, parading their clothes, on the giant catwalk of the streets (and, not to mention, the queues outside certain stores.) I had never been to FNO until this year, and very quickly learnt what i had been missing out on for the previous 3 years the event has taken place: some great people watching, some fabulous luxury entertainment, and some finely made cocktails and canapes, mostly.

Here are some of my FNO hightlights, including Alex holding a reptile, meeting London Jeweller Theo Fennell, and the terrifying Louis Vuitton shop windows.

Olympic and Paralympic British Pride

Loving the Olympics and the Paralympics being in London this summer! It's got people talking about everything that matters, instead of the weather and has changed people's attitudes towards so many things, including getting fit, disability and Londonners.

On a beautiful sunny day out in Hackney, East London, I stumbled upon this piece of graffiti art by Pure Evil, of a 'youf' nicking one of the Olympic rings, and it made my day.

Quirky Sydney

Who would have thought Sydney was going to be so quirky? I just imagined Kangaroos and Koalas roaming the land, and men with cool hats and funky accents drinking beer on the sand all day.

Almost famous

With a little creative imagination, you will see my name is already in lights (so to speak). The second photo may also require some basic knowledge of the French language, and knowing my surname. Now I just need to get myself on Google.

A Place I Love: LEON

Not only does this place share a name with one of my favourite movies of all time, but it also serves up a mean (but healthy) lunch! I had posh Fish n Chips (the fish was salon and the chips were lke baked hash browns) and Mum had a superfood salad, with all sorts of grains and healthy goodness. It's the best place for a light, summer meal. Big love for Leon.

Lovely Jubly Jubilee

PROUD TO BE BRITISH
Just a little thing my dad bought for the Diamond Jubilee Four-day Weekend. Tacky? Or just awesome?
