Countdown to Christmas: 13 days

I love the winter fashion that comes out around November every year! Everything is fluffy, warm-looking, festive or shimmery, lighting and warming up the gradually colder and darker evenings. A couple of things that have really tickled my fancy this winter are as follows:

This dress is amazing. The photo doesn't really do it justice as you can hardly see the glitter polka dots, but the colour is stunning! Below is a better photo of a close-up of the pattern and colour.

Every other page in this month's Cosmopolitan featured the glitter, the mettalics, the sequins, the studs and the shimmer, whether talking about fashion or beauty.

I tried this dress on last week and, I've got to say, if I had smaller boobs, I think it would look much nicer on me. But that's just my opinion - try it on yourself, because it might be your style. It's also a reasonably big fit, so I recommend getting the size down. Topshop even have a 'Shimmer & Shine' collection, comprising of festive party dresses and generally glittery clothes and accessories.

Plus, a new dress for Christmas or New Years Eve is an annual must, I reckon. Just as long as you make sure you get good use out of it during the year.

This one is £46, but if you are as lucky as me to still be a student, 10% student discount will make it £41.40 - not much difference, but, to quote Tesco, every little helps!

Another print I'm lusting after this season is the festive Fair Isle print. For girls or guys, this print at Christmas is, quite frankly, just necessary. My awesome leggings that I got in Urban Outfitters' 'Christmas Party' are the kind of thing I'm talking about, but you can find this print pretty much anywhere at this time of year. I find Zara and Urban Outfitters have the best, on a student budget.

Burgundy has got to be my favourite colour all year round, but at Christmas it just works so much better than walking around looking like a glass of warm mulled wine in summer, when it's 25 degrees outside. Using all the burgundy coloured items I have in my wardrobe, it wouldn't surprise me if I was able to make a whole solidly burgundy-coloured outfit. I already have a burgundy snood, top, handbag, socks and even knickers, in additions to the burgundy fair isle leggings I was talking about before. Hope Santa will bring me more :)
